Khuzama Signature · 2026
Bringing a five-decade legacy to the web.
A restaurant experience built around food, family and a long-standing connection with its community. I translated the existing brand into a digital experience — from visual direction and content structure to responsive WordPress development.
Make the existing identity work on the web.
Khuzama has been serving its community for nearly five decades, with a story rooted in Arab recipes, generous portions, consistency and togetherness.
The goal was to create a digital experience that felt rooted, but contemporary. Refined, but familiar. Premium, without becoming distant.
Legacy, expressed before the menu.
The opening composition establishes the world of Khuzama first: its name, its heritage, its place and its visual language.
A legacy becomes part of the experience.
The history isn't hidden away as an informational page. It is woven into the visual journey through photography, editorial copy and a sense of place.
Designing for appetite.
Restaurant websites have to create atmosphere through a screen. Large food imagery and generous space let the dishes carry the emotional weight of the page.
From discovery to visit.
The experience eventually moves from story and appetite toward action — helping visitors understand where Khuzama is and how to experience it.
The hierarchy adapts instead of simply shrinking.
The desktop compositions give imagery and typography room to breathe. On smaller screens, the structure changes so the same story remains legible and intentional.

Brand principles, translated into behaviour.
Legacy
The story comes first, woven into the overall experience rather than isolated to an About section.
Food
Large imagery and spacious layouts give the dishes room to create appetite and atmosphere.
Familiarity
Elevated without becoming intimidating — refined, but still recognisable as a place people know.
From Figma to a working website.
- Brand interpretation — working within the existing brand guidelines
- UX / Structure — planning information hierarchy and content flow
- Visual Design — designing the interface and visual system in Figma
- Content — creating and structuring website content
- Development — developing the final experience in WordPress
- Responsive Design — adapting the experience across screen sizes
A brand guideline isn't a website. A visual identity can tell you what a brand looks like. A website has to decide how that identity behaves.
Working across design, content and development made the process deliberately iterative: Figma / WordPress / test on real screens / adjust / repeat.
